Freedom and yet

A few days after our arrival from GZ2.0 Don went into the emergency room and emerged yesterday. He and family flew to Korea for medical and family support

…and then there were fewer of the former
Sad to report a hot tub free day. Drained for cleaning, will miss the grand reopening tomorrow
and a lot more of these latter ones. Thunderstorms forecasted:

NGRID: We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for potential severe thunderstorms later today. Stay connected and prepared at ngrid.com/outagecentral. Ngrid is the local national grid.

George and Michelle were much less piggy. Then we all had ice cream.
Outstanding breakfast with treats. Taste off between Le Bec Sucre and And a bakery in Providence (maybe Knead?). Both excellent but Le Bec won for croissants.

Who knew! So many types of oyster knives; none of the these are apparently acceptable for French oysters.

Post nap hot tub. Met Philip and Spencer. High as kites. Leaving soon to go to Boostoon. Off to the farrrrm.
What do you grow. Weed. Recreationaaaal weeed.
After some discussion, sodium grow lights, two levels, one for growing and one for living. No dispensing yet. Nice mellow guys.
A black crowned night heron at Mount Hope Farm not far from an excellent marsh.

Le Central, a French style cafe in Bristol. We brought the average age down. Good oyster and salmon ceviche. A nice endive, beet and Roquefort salad and Moroccan chicken.

One of the attractions to the East Coast are the thunderstorms. Just had a noisy one. QB intended to go for a swim but when we saw the lightening changed over to a walk.
Got quite drenched.

Finished off with a leafy green dinner – with Portuguese chorizo.
Big thunderstorm at night.
…… We walk so you don’t have to
First, a stop at a cafe in Bristol. Oddly almost all women. Good food but far too noisy. 78-80 db according to watch

Colt State Park. Large, family oriented, paved walking and bike paths. No rocks or roots. Bay to Bay; Narragansett Bay to Bristol.
First thing we see is a vulture devouring some prey.

Next, we see ospreys and an osprey nest with a little one inside. Hard to get a good shot.

Colt State park given to the state by a farm owner who raised champion cows.

Lots of water

Question for the research staff: there are wonderful rock walls all over RI. Lots of labor to put them together. Where did all the rocks come from? From the cleared fields? Other?
